We are waiting on a new lamp that was back ordered. We anticipate the lamp to be in around the 30th.
Integrated Nanosystems Research Facility
Facilities will be replacing the UPS on the Siemens panel on the roof starting around 7:30 – 8 am. This panel controls the make-up air handlers and the exhaust fans. This should take no longer than 2hrs. If you are in during this time just be cautious.
The upgrade has been postponed and the tool is back up.
The SEM will be undergoing an upgrade today and will be unavailable until further notice. We don’t see this taking longer than a day or do. We will keep you updated.
Jake will be working on the CDO so the STS and Plasmatherm will be down until late Friday. We will let you know if there are any changes.
If you have not yet submitted the new policy compliance agreement or have not attended the annual safety meeting/re-cap please be sure to do so by this Friday, 1/09/15. Users who are not in compliance will be de-activated from the cleanroom on Monday, 1/12/15.
The dry pump for the STS experienced a high temp shut off. Jake is looking into it and we will let you know as soon as its available.

Happy Holidays Cleanroom Users!
The INRF and BiON cleanrooms will remain open with limited access during the holiday break from 12/24/14 – 1/02/15. The front office will be closed.
Both labs will be back to normal operation January 5th.
During this time there will be no staff coverage, no access to wet rooms and only the following equipment/areas will be operable:
- Lithography
- Characterization
- Ebeam Evaporation
If you have a specific need you may discuss with the Lab Manager Jake Hes to see if allowable.
