Happy Holidays Cleanroom Users!
The INRF and BiON cleanrooms will remain open with limited access during the holiday break from 12/24/14 – 1/02/15. The front office will be closed.
Both labs will be back to normal operation January 5th.
During this time there will be no staff coverage, no access to wet rooms and only the following equipment/areas will be operable:
- Lithography
- Characterization
- Ebeam Evaporation
If you have a specific need you may discuss with the Lab Manager Jake Hes to see if allowable.
The SEM & FEI are down this morning due to Facilities monthly generator testing. Usually we have no problems but for some reason it tripped the system this morning. Jake will come in later this morning to get them back up.
It’s that time of year again for the dry “Santa Ana” weather so please be vigilant in checking the humidity percentage in the rooms before starting your process (especially in lithography). We are working with Facilities to address the issue but in the meantime just be aware.
Two new training videos have been posted to the INRF website. You can view the videos by visiting the videos page at:

INRF Staff
Some of you might notice a smell in the INRF today. Its due to a motor burning up. It has been turned off the the smell should dissipate throughout the day.
Everything should be back to how it was.
Compressed air out in the INRF, Multiple equipment down. Facilities has been notified and we will let you know when we find out.
MA6 will be down for bulb replacement and should be back up later today.
This Friday is a holiday and the cleanrooms will be closed. Those with after-hours access will still be able to use the lab but there will be no support staff.
Jake will be on vacation all of next week (7/7 – 7/11) so there will be very limited staff.
