Next week Lifeng will be hosting a small 1 hr demo of the chemical wet process room.  You will need to RSVP with Ryan via email (sryan@uci.edu) This will only be open to 6 users and its first-come, first-served.

He will cover:

• Proper operation of the laminar flow hood
• Wast management of reactive chemicals
• Labeling

We have new training videos posted on the INRF website. The videos go through standard safety and operating procedures of the INRF and BiON tools. The videos can be found by visiting the INRF homepage at:

Everything except for the PECVD will remain functional while they are away.

A few things from last night:

1. Both spinners were left on
2. A curing oven door was left open
3. One of the flammable cabinets in the hot embossing area was left open
4. We are accumulating beakers again on various benches in the BiON lab. These need to be put away when finished.

This is all unacceptable behavior.  Please respect the lab.

• Monday is a Holiday. Both labs will be closed (Super Users will still have access)
• Jake will be off Tuesday & Wednesday.
• Ryan will be off Tuesday.
• The rest of the staff should remain the same.

AB&M UV Flood Exposure System is up. Please check the log book to see the power intensity.

We received the Flow Switch for the Trion and now it just needs to be installed. We will update you when the equipment is up.

The lamp has arrived and we will be installing it today.

UP:

• AB&M UV Flood Exposure System Update (Lamp will be here 2/13/14)

We have relocated the Booties and Hairnet boxes to the locker room next to the shoe cleaner. Please put on booties after using the shoe cleaner in the locker room in order to keep the gowning area clean. As always please keep all personal item (jackets, hats, bags…) is this room as well. For a locker please see Ryan in the INRF.
