Jake will be off Monday (11th) and Tuesday (12th) of next week.
This Friday is a holiday and the cleanrooms will be closed. Those with after-hours access will still be able to use the lab but there will be no support staff.
Jake will be on vacation all of next week (7/7 – 7/11) so there will be very limited staff.
We regret to inform you that today will be Lifeng Zheng’s last day with INRF.
Lifeng began his tenure at INRF as a Post Doc under the direction of Professor Peter Burke and then moved on to a Specialist position in the our cleanrooms. Lifeng has been instrumental in numerous faculty and student research projects and will be greatly missed.
Please join us in wishing Lifeng well in his future endeavors as he pursues further career growth!
There will be no user meeting today. It will take place at its normal time next week.
As you may or may not know, Monday is a holiday so the office and cleanrooms will be closed. After hours users will still have access but there will be no staff.
Jake will be out next Tuesday and Wednesday.
Next weeks weather will be bringing hot and dry conditions again and with that the labs will experience some dry conditions as well. We can control the humidity, to some extent, in the INRF but the BION is out of our hands until they upgrade the humidifiers. If you are working on lithography please look up the manufactures recommended conditions for any of the chemicals you plan to use to ensure your projects are successful.
We will be cleaning out unused/old SU-8 bottles underneath the Hot embossing bench in the BION. If you have one you are using please update the date on the label with the current date. There is too much material being stored under there.
Thanks!
There will be some light construction over in BION rm 1322. This should not affect you access to the cleanroom.
Jake will be out Monday the 10th through Wednesday the 12th. He will return on Thursday. There will be no user meeting next week.
Next week Lifeng will be hosting a small 1 hr demo of the chemical wet process room. You will need to RSVP with Ryan via email (sryan@uci.edu) This will only be open to 6 users and its first-come, first-served.
