Integrated Nanosystems Research Facility

The Micropallet Array

The micropallet array consists of hundreds of thousands of micro – scale pedestals, termed “micropallets” that are photolithographically patterned in an array on a 1”x3” glass coverslip.

Each micropallet has a 40x40um cross section. 50um height, with 30um gaps between micropallets. The basic micropallet array platform is a unique micro – and nanotechnology that permits the isolation, selection, and recovery of single adherent cells from large heterogeneous populations.

This technology will be used for the analysis of primary tumor cell subsets of clinical relevance at single cell resolution.
